St. Jude Thaddeus Institute of Technology
1. Provide an academic environment conductive for the transformation and development of human resources, faculty, research, instruction, community eextension, and student services.
2. Promotes quality education through responsive institutional programs with competent and committed staff.
3. Establishes strong linkages and networking partners, stakeholders, and other government, non-government and international agencies to respond to the changing demands of domestic and global environments.
4. Upholds a drug and fraternity-free institutions.
SJTIT PROFILE
It was beginning marked by simplicity and modesty fuelled by the desire provide the Surigaonons with good and affordable technical education and the hope that in doing so many improve the quality of their lives.
Like its Patron St. Jude Thaddeus, St. Jude Thaddeus Institute of Technology has the heart to help and rescue desperate people from the affliction of poverty thru education.
It is truly revealed in its VISION and MISSION.
When it begun as St. Jude Technical School in June 1977, it offered only 3 year course such as Instrumentation Technician, Practical Electricity and Air Conditioning with 5 faculty members and 173 students enrolled.
VALUE STATEMENT
Due to the demand of the students and the awareness of the community, the school during the school year 1978-1979 expanded its programs to include the following two-year courses, in addition to what was already offered, namely:
1. General Radio Communication Operator
2. Broadcast Technician
3. Community Technician
1. Automotive Mechanics
2. Typewriting
3. Dressmaking
In September 17, 1980, St. Jude Technical School became St. Jude Thaddeus Institute of Technology. After having gained government recognition, the school opened addition courses.

3. Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
4. Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education
5. Bachelor in Elementary Education
6. AB Broadcasting
7. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

Today, SJTIT stands high and proud on a permanent site in Borromeo St., Surigao City. The school has also acquired a two hectare site in Lipata, where an annex school is under construction.
FACILITIES
In fulfilling its VISION, SJTIT offers an academic environment equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities and technologies supportive to the academic development of its students and their pursuit of knowledge. It provides the students a wider avenue to hone their fullest potentials making them a responsible and competent.
Judeans are encourage to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities in order to develop their diverse skills. They are exposed to social involvement and community services so that they will experience the community life and be able to in still among themselves the spirit of community service.
SJTIT provided the students the quality and excellent education thru its effecient academic staff preparing them for their combat mission in fulfilling their aspirations in life and making every Judeans ride on the waves of challenges in the domestic and global environments.
Consequently, SJTIT is the only school in Caraga Region that offers AB Broadcasting with complete broadcasting facilities and equipment's, allowing a hands-on training for the students and an assurance of employment opportunities for its graduates. The school operates its own radio (DXSJ-FM) and television station (DXSJ-TV 12).
With the other academic institutions in the region, SJTIT has produced one of the highest Licensure Examination for Teachers passers, License Criminologists and Brokers.
This can be attributed to the competent faculty who provided the students different learning opportunities and experiences to equip the graduates with competencies required of globally competetive professionals.
